Fife People's Panel registration form

Overview

The purpose of Fife People's Panel is to be able to consult with local people on a wide range of issues.

The panel has been in operation since 2006, and is used by Fife Partnership Board, the community planning partnership for Fife. The results from consultations have been used to inform a number of decisions and service changes over the years.

To become a member you must:

  • live in Fife, and
  • be aged 16 years or over.

As a panel member you will receive questionnaires (either by email or by post) and you can choose which questionnaires you want to take part in. You may also be invited to participate in focus groups or other consultation projects.

While it is necessary to register your details to become a member of the panel, questionnaires can be submitted anonymously to allow you to express your views more freely.

How we manage the information you provide

The personal information we gather is collected and processed for the purposes of managing your membership of the panel.

The information we ask for regarding age, gender, employment, ethnic origin, housing status, health etc, allows us to ensure that the panel as a whole is representative of the people of Fife. This information also helps us send surveys to people who are likely to use specific services or facilities. Such data gathered from any consultation adds value to our research as we can look at how views differ based on age, gender, geographical area, etc.

Any personal details you provide will be processed in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). We also do not identify what you say individually, and all questionnaires you complete are anonymous.

This Privacy Notice explains more about how we use the information that we collect about you.

If you would like to know more about the panel, need help registering, or ever need to update your details or decide to leave the panel, please email: Peoples.Panel@fife.gov.uk
