Harbour Drive Play Area, Dalgety Bay - Updated Design 2026
Overview
Fife Council are proposing to carry out a refurbishment of the play area at Harbour Drive in Dalgety Bay. The previous play equipment was removed a number of years ago after reaching the end of its serviceable life. It was agreed through the approved Play Space Strategy that this site would be retained and refurbished to provide a renewed play provision for the local community.
Following the initial consultation, feedback from the local community has been reviewed and used to update the proposed design. The revised layout aims to better reflect the preferences and priorities identified, while remaining within the available project budget.
Concerns were raised regarding drainage across the site during the initial consultation. These issues will be addressed as part of the construction contract.
The updated design provides a range of play opportunities for children and young people of different ages and abilities. It includes a mix of active, social and inclusive play equipment, as shown in the images.
