Kirkton of Largo Primary School Closure and Rezone the Catchment Area of Lundin Mill Primary School Consultation
Overview
On 8 January 2026, the Cabinet Committee of Fife Council authorised the Education Directorate to undertake a statutory consultation in terms of the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 on the proposal to:

Close Kirkton of Largo Primary School on Monday 17 August 2026.

Rezone the catchment area of Lundin Mill Primary School to incorporate the current catchment area of Kirkton of Largo Primary School, form Monday 17 August 2026.

Seek alternative uses for the Kirkton of Largo Primary School site.
The statutory consultation period will commence on Wednesday 21 January 2026 and will end on Tuesday 10 March 2026.
A public meeting has been arranged at:
• Durham Hall, Lower Largo on Monday 9 February 2026 from 6-7 pm
At this meeting, council officers will give a presentation on the proposal and any alternatives, answer questions on the proposal and any alternatives and record the oral representations on the proposal and any alternatives, of anyone who attends.
Informal drop-in sessions have also been arranged at:
• Lundin Mill Primary School on Tuesday 3 February from 8.45 – 9.30 am
• Lundin Mill Primary School on Tuesday 3 February from 2.30 – 3.15 pm
