Overview

Fife Council announced a proposal to rezone the catchment areas of Kirkcaldy West and Dunnikier Primary Schools in July 2025.  

A statutory consultation regarding the proposals took place from Tuesday 21 January 2025 until Friday 7 March 2025 with the consultation period covering 30 school days.  Consultation took place via an electronic survey open to all, pupil consultation sessions and public events.

The proposal was considered and approved at The Cabinet Committee on 29 May 2025.  This means Kirkcaldy West and Dunnikier Primary Schools catchment areas have been rezoned, with changes taking effect from 4 July 2025.
